Pegfinity Tier List Hub
Rankings for the nodes that change a board versus the nodes that only change a number.
Pegfinity has a long tree and a short campaign. A tier list here is not an esports meta. It is a skip list: what to buy so a run pays for the next node, and what to ignore so you do not dilute a queue. Rankings use launch-week Steam discussion, demo footage, and the same facts as the rest of the wiki. They will move when Fragment Ventures patches prices.
Open the upgrade tier list if you only have time for one page. Use the peg tier list when you are choosing Cactus versus Frog. Use the ball tier list before you unlock watermelon and basketball. Use the gadget tier list when Steam threads ask whether portal and gumball are traps.
How we grade
S-tier means the node creates extra collisions or extra multiplier time. That is Cactus, Hypemeter, peg density, UFO on a full board. A-tier means a feeder that needs a partner: portal, laser, pinball. B-tier means fine after the engine exists. C-tier means skip on a completion path: many basket nodes, some combo-max percents, ball types that replace a working queue. Graveyard sits in a bug bucket until the 90 million price report is fixed — see known issues.
We do not grade on how funny a sprite is. Clowns and disco balls can be S-tier comedy and C-tier economy. Buy them when you are done optimizing.
How to use ranks with the rest of the wiki
A rank without a spend path is a poster. Follow how to complete the tree and the upgrade order planner so S-tier nodes actually appear in your session. Special peg how-tos live in special pegs. Combo math lives in Hypemeter. If a rank disagrees with a run you just had, trust the run — random boards swing hard — then still skip baskets.
What this is not
This is not a PvP list. Pegfinity is single-player. There is no ladder. There is no weekly reset. If you enjoy a C-tier toy, play it. The list exists for players who felt every upgrade took three runs and wanted a second opinion before refunding. Pair it with the review if the question is purchase, not spend order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players ask after the Steam launch.
Which Pegfinity tier list should I read first?
The upgrade tier list for spend order, then pegs and gadgets when a tooltip looks flashy.
Will these ranks stay valid after patches?
Prices move. Check updates and known issues after a patch, then treat collisions-over-baskets as the stable rule.
Do I have to follow S-tier only?
No. The list is a skip guide for finishing the tree. Funny C-tier toys are allowed after the engine exists.
