Pegfinity Known Issues
Launch-week reports, with shipped Steam patches marked so you do not farm a bug that already died.
This page is the live bug board. Named Steam patches live in full on patch notes. If a report already has a version number, do not treat it as current. Pair with launch notes and the upgrade order planner.
Fixed in 1.2.1 — Graveyard price
Launch reviews and a Steam thread titled about Graveyard costing 90 million (90kk) instead of 9 million. Players called it an extra zero. Steam patch 1.2.1 states the peg was priced ten times above plan and that cost is fixed. Buy Graveyard as a late peg. Do not farm a ghost 90 million. If your client still shows the typo, verify files and confirm the build. The peg tier list ranks it as a late special, not a bug bucket.
Fixed in 1.2.2 — controller on New PWR-Up
A launch thread is titled Stuck on ‘New PWR-Up!!!. Chests are on-board treasure popups. Hotfix 1.2.2 says the Power Up popup now accepts the controller, which matters on Steam Deck. If a mouse user still cannot dismiss the modal, restart once. Do not buy tree nodes to unstick UI. Achievements should not require a freeze.
Fixed in 1.2.3 and the accessibility patch — meter and strobe
Launch reviews glued eyes to a tiny charge meter and asked for auto-fire. 1.2.3 auto-launches at maximum charge, adds charge sound, and resets the bar after a shot. That is a cap, not an idle gadget. Controls explains the remaining habit.
A Steam discussion asked to disable the flashing background. The accessibility patch adds toggles for background pattern movement and the blinking pulse light. Use them on systems. Board effects like disco and bombs can still flash.
1.2.3 also says early gameplay should feel less grindy and fixes toolbars that drew off-screen. If you bounced off the tree on launch day, read progression again before filing the same grind ticket.
Still open — memory leak reports
A discussion titled Memory Leak? appeared on launch day. No named patch line has claimed a fix. If RAM climbs during long chain-reaction sessions, restart between long sits, especially on Deck. This wiki cannot confirm a leak from here. Do not interpret stutter as a reason to buy fewer fireworks. Lower spectacle if the device is hot.
Still open — design gaps that feel like bugs
- No confirmed cloud save. Treat Deck and PC as separate until Steam says otherwise.
- No listed official Discord. Use Steam discussions via community.
- Max combo multiplier nodes that feel too small. Skip them; upgrade tier list.
- Extra balls / portal / gumball feeling bad without feeders. Economy, not a crash — gadgets and beginner mistakes.
- Bouncy peg hate remains a taste thread, not a hotfix.
Demo leftovers
Laser plus UFO idle loops and cactus plus portal loops were reported in demo comments. They may still exist. Playtesters asked for timeouts. If 1.0 still allows AFK-looking clears, enjoy them or wait; they are not viruses. Synergies describes them as recipes.
Demo sound bugs had their own older thread. If audio still glitches, check that thread before reinstalling Windows.
How to report without this wiki in the middle
Use Steam discussions on app 3947040. Mention the node name, the price you see, the build if you know it, and whether you are on Deck. Fragment Ventures already answered demo feedback and posted 1.2.1 through the accessibility patch in public. A clear number is more useful than a vibe.
If your issue is “the game feels slow,” read progression and skip bins before you file a ticket about linear scaling. If your issue is “this node still costs 90 million after 1.2.1,” say so on Steam with a screenshot. If your issue is already named on patch notes, update the client first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players ask after the Steam launch.
Is Graveyard supposed to cost 90 million?
No. That extra zero was a bug. Steam 1.2.1 fixed the ten-times price. See patch notes.
The New PWR-Up chest will not close. What do I do?
Restart once. Controller users should have 1.2.2. If a mouse freeze remains, report it on Steam rather than buying nodes to dismiss it.
Is the cactus portal loop a bug?
It is a shipped interaction. It may get timeouts later. See synergies.
Should I refund because of these issues?
Only if something still blocks you inside Steam's refund window. Graveyard, max-charge fire, and background toggles already shipped. The review covers the rest of the value question.
